Holographic Breathing

This article was in Kindred Spirit Magazine and the Sutherland College of Cranial Osteopathy Magazine.

I started meditating and learning tai chi and healing in the late 70s. In the late 80s I founded the Lotus School of Tai Chi and Healing Arts. This worked very well for me and I was happily able to make my living from my passion – the universe seemed to be fully behind me.

However in the late 1990’s my health began to deteriorate by 2002 I had to close down the School and was too tired to do pretty much any thing. I could no longer practice my own tai chi, which had been a huge resource for me. If I visited anyone I became worn down very quickly and had to leave. Unknown to me at the time, I had Lymes disease.

A lot of the time all I could do was lie on my bed and breathe. In surrendering to this, a new energy started coming to me, and things started to change.

It was at this time I went to see a cranial dentist, who informed me that my maxilla was pulled back

The maxilla is the central part of the face, stretching from the roof of the mouth to the bridge of the nose it includes the upper teeth and pallet.

I began breathing into the maxilla as if it were a pair of lungs. When I did this something happened that I really was not expecting, a universal energy opened, as the breath came into the maxilla, it converted into prana and moved directly into the brain.

As soon as I started the breathing this would happen and when I stopped it would ebb away

Maxillary Sinuses

I investigated the anatomy of the maxilla, and it seemed to me that it was a reflection of the lungs. The maxilla encloses the sinuses and nasal passageways which have the same shape, size and placement within the face as the lungs do to the torso. Also the roof of the mouth has the same dome as the diaphragm.

The bones are wafer thin and this area is 95% air, reflecting the lungs in mode as well as shape. They seemed to be a higher form of lungs for the face and head. Also the slightness of the bone structure, and that the area was mainly air, gave me hope that it could adjust into natural position fairly quickly.

The effect the breathing was having on my brain was very relieving in more ways than one, as I had discovered what a lot of the tiredness was about. I had lymes disease which attacks the brain, and as I was doing the breathing, the tiredness was leaving.

I was practicing this most of the time and one day, a totally new type of breathing started, it just kicked in of its own accord, it had a very particular mode. This new breathing, articulated the whole face physically and energetically. It felt totally natural. Once this breathing was happening the face started functioning as a holographic structure. It was a reflection of the torso. The mouth was relating to the abdomen, the maxilla to the heart and lungs, and the eyes to the head.

I could see and feel the energy moving from the face to the brain it was another reflection; the organs of the brain were in direct relationship to the different parts of face and it was now being fed by an energy that had long been missing, in return it was rejuvenating the body.

The energy moved down into the body like mirrors with in mirrors, everything was a reflection of the face, also the energies were rising up though the body, feeding the face and head, every thing was working together as one unit.

I felt I was breathing in alignment with the centre of the universe. I would wake up out of my dreams at night and realize I had been doing the breathing in my asleep. If I was driving or walking, I would notice that it was gently happening in the background. It was an immaculately integrated phenomena.

There was also a spiritual energy coming down that related to and guided whatever was happening. This intelligence would come in whenever I started the breathing; it was so in tune with me that I could forget it was there, like a mirror on a higher level. If I consciously allowed it in, everything would move onto a new level and work in a much softer and more profound way.

Within four months the lymes disease was gone. I think this was mainly down to the effect of the homoeopathy I was taking but the breathing helped a lot.

This breathing has slowly and naturally been working through my whole body, clearing, detoxifying and realigning on all levels. I have been coming in tune with a truly beneficially source embedded within in every cell and strand of DNA, and reflected in nature, the earth, and universe. In 30 years of healing work and meditation I have not come across anything as accessible and transformative as this breathing.

I have now been teaching holographic breathing for five years. It has become an in-depth and whole system, working and healing on many different levels. It is taught in modals each being complete unto itself. But just learning the first and second is enough for a very powerful and relaxing mediation and healing resource.

There is a growing number of people who have learnt the basic breathing some of them are happy practicing that, and others are take it further and are learning it as an in-depth self healing process.

It's a phenomena that has its own intelligence and is an integral part of the universe. It’s already there embedded in every ones makeup, reflected in everything around, and the breathing brings it to life.

Holographic breathing is now becoming resource for a lot of people and my intention is to make it available to a lot more.

This may all seem a bit complicated. But in essence the breathing is very natural and easy to learn. Holographic Breathing can take ten or fifteen minutes to become used to; a bit like blowing the dust of an old memory. But after that it becomes natural and then you can access it when ever you want, like riding a bike.

The first seminar is a meditative journey into the basic dynamics of holographic breathing and its expression through the body. This seminar is also available on CD.

The first seminar is complete on it’s own but participants can also go on to learn further seminars which cover different dynamics and energy systems through the body.

I teach individually in person or over the telephone

CD’s are available from the web site

My experience of holographic breathing

Jeremy Gilbey – the Faculty, Sutherland College of Cranial Osteopathy

I have now completed the first two of Martin Jones Holographic Breathing workshops.

The simple breathing technique starts to come very naturally and has an extraordinary facility to integrate the body therapeutically. I was inspired to experience a considerable release and reorganization through my maxillary sinuses; which had recently been a problem area for me.

I have introduced several patients to the approach who I feel would particularly benefit. One group is of children lined up for orthodontic surgery. Two have a type 3 occlusal relationship. Although they have responded well to Osteopathic treatment I feel that the holographic breathing is something that they can do on a daily basis, which I hope, will make a significant difference and minimize orthodontic intervention. We will monitor the effects. I have also recommended it to one patient with long term (15 years) ME following Lyme's disease.

I am keen to harness the power of breathing, perhaps the most powerful force we have at our disposal in the treatment process. I believe that it is important with some patients to give something therapeutically useful to take away with them, and I'm interested in enhancing my ability to treat myself. My experience of holographic breathing to date inspires me as to its role as a powerful therapeutic tool in both of these roles.

Martin Jones is willing to do a workshop with us as part of a proposed breathing event. We are considering a 2-hour workshop to give people the ability to explore the technique for themselves.

On giving the exercise to patients I favor sending them to Martin for a Sunday afternoon workshop at present, as this saturates them with the technique and I believe increases the chances of compliance with a continuing exercise routine from two points of view: first they are clear that they are doing the exercise properly and secondly they will have some experience of its efficacy, and will be encouraged to continue.
