Description of Holographic Breathing

In Holographic Breathing the lips are relaxed and closed.
The upper surface of the tongue is on the roof of the mouth,
and the breath is through the nose.

Along with this there is a gentle motion of the jaw.
On the in-breath the jaw gently opens and on the out-breath jaw gently closes.

Sometimes when When learning Holographic Breathing people say how is it possible to keep the lips close and move the jaw at the same time.
We will take that into account in these exercises to learn Holographic Breathing

Meditative process to learn Holographic Breathing.

Holographic breathing starts as an exercise but at a certain point integrates with the breath and becomes a natural impulse where this subtle dynamic of the mouth just follows along with the breath.

Holographic breathing should be soft, natural, and meditative. If at any time it feels awkward or painful. Make the movement of the jaw smaller, softer, and slower.

One
have the lips relaxed and close.

Two
The upper surface of the tongue is on the roof of the mouth. The main thing is that it is relaxed while it is there. So just put as much of the tongue on the roof of the mouth as feels comfortable.
It may be half an inch, or an inch, or the tongue covering the whole of the roof of the mouth.
The tip of the tongue is close to or touching the front teeth.

Breathe gently through your nose and spend a little bit of time becoming used to the tongue being on the roof of the mouth and the lips being relaxed and close this can be quite meditative just on its own.

Three

When you have become used to this start making some small up-down movements with the jaw about half a finger with two or 3 mm a quarter of an inch.

Notice that it is fully possible to move your jaw and still keep the lips close and the tongue on the roof of the mouth.
It's a bit like chewing. Every day we eat, we move the jaw,  and can keep the lips close.

Four

Slow down the movement and the breath.
As the jaw is gently opening allow the breath to come in through the nose.
As the jaw is closing let the breath come out through the nose.

This may feel a bit like a bellows as the jaw is opening the breath is drawn in through the nose as the jaw is closing the breath is exhaled through the nose.

It is important to have the lips closed and the tongue on the roof of the mouth all of the time.

Also, stay relaxed, relax the back of the neck and relax the back of the head.
Spend a little bit of time becoming used to this and relaxing.
You may find it easier if the eyes close for a while.

Five

now we're going to change the gestalt.
It's going to change from being quite physical to being more meditative and energy-based.

to make this change
Move your attention from the jaw to the breath through the nose.

As you breathe in through the nose the jaw gently relaxes open with it
and as you breathe out through the nose the jaw gently closes.

Notice how everything becomes much softer, more relaxed, and meditative.

You may start feeling the gentle motion of the breath moving through your face, head, and body.

Spend a bit of time becoming used to this. It is important to keep the lips closed and the tongue on the roof of the mouth all of the time.

Six

Holographic Breathing will automatically integrate with your breath.
Once it starts going it's good to bring the attention to the rest of the body and away from the jaw.

Bring your awareness to the chest. Breathing-in the chest is opening and the jaw opens with it. Breathing-out the chest is closing and the jaw is closing with it.

Bring your awareness to your abdomen.
Breathing-in the abdomen is opening and the jaw is opening with it.
Breathing-out the abdomen is closing and the jaw is closing with it.

Bring your awareness to the whole torso.
Breathing-in the whole torso is opening and the jaw is following along,
breathing-out the whole torso is closing and the jaw is following.

Also notice that in a subtle way your face, head, and neck have also started to breathe in a subtle way.

Spend a bit of time becoming used to this allow the breath and energy to travel through your whole body.
It's good to relax the back of the neck and the back of the head.

Seven

bring your awareness to your teeth.
On the in-breath, they are separating.
On the out-breath and let them float together so that there is no pressure between them.
Or have it so that the teeth don't quite touch.
This means that the jaw is relaxed throughout.

Through this whole process be aware that the lips are close all of the time and that the tongue is on the roof of the mouth all of the time.

If you feel any pressure or pain or awkwardness, make the movement of the jaw more relaxed, smaller, and slower.

Spend time breathing in this way. Notice every cell breathing, your connection to the earth and heaven, and the energy in the spine and brain.
